Erik and I are challenging ourselves for 30 days:
I am going to go to a 90-minute bikram yoga class every day, and Erik is going to do a prison-style workout every day. We’re both going to stop drinking beer. I’m going to stop eating meat, and Erik, who’s vegan, is going to stop eating junk food. We want to see what kind of shape we can get ourselves into in a month.
I started going to bikram at Yoga to the People about a month and a half ago. It is always challenging, but about a week after I started going, something clicked and it became easier and more enjoyable. I saw a flyer for Sacred Brooklyn, a new yoga studio in my neighborhood that was offering unlimited yoga for 30 days for $30. I had been toying with the idea of challenging myself to 30 days of yoga for a while, and this was what made me commit.
I went to my first class on Wednesday night and it was great. The studio is beautiful, the people are fantastic, and my class had only 6 people in it. I told Erik about it the next day and he decided to join me with his own challenge.
My 30 days will end on April 28th and Erik will go until the 30th.
